War Babies

War Babies

Ted Rose original watercolor

“War Babies” 1994 15″x22″ – Price on request
Ted Rose Watercolor – Pennsylvania Railroad.
This scene is of a PRR J1 (2-10-4) at the East Altoona Engine House. It set around the end of WWII. The title “War Babies” comes from the fact that the engines that were built during the war used lesser quality materials and often needed more repairs. The 2 men on the left are talking about the J1 and one is saying to the other ” It’s not as bad as you think it is”.
